The Thirty-Five-Millimeter Shrine

Us TOS fans are a peculiar lot. We still like to dwell in the memories of an era long past us. For me, TOS reminds me of a better era. Back when despite social changes, everybody knew their place in the order of things. When scientific progress was looked upon with excitement, not with suspicion or outright fear. When space travel meant man will conquer the stars, not stay in low Earth orbit for decades. It's a world we cannot go back to, and the future which it told us about, my generation won't live to see. So all we can do is allow ourselves a little break from reality, in the vision of an obsolete future we could live our fantasies in.
