A sight from 1966 by thefirstfleet A sight from 1966 by thefirstfleet
I wanted to recreate the look and feel of an original, unedited screencap of TOS. They way it's supposed to be. I know, I'm a purist :D

Loved that shot there, and think the first time I saw it was in Doomsday Machine, or Journey to Babel, but I can't think of any other eps off the top of my head.

Still a great shot of the Enterprise fly by there😸

Great lighting, even if it is excessively illuminated for deep space.

This angle reminds me of the opening scenes from "Space Seed", when the Enterprise pulls up alongside the Botany Bay.

Too clean, too sharp.  Looks more like a Remastered screen cap to me.  No - your Enterprise is way better than theirs. :D  Then again, we didn't have hi-def back in 1966, so you have to take that into account, too.  Maybe just a hint of overall blur or a very slight de-focus to better emulate the ol' NTSC video standard, and I think you'll have it nailed.

Outstanding effort, though.  Another job well done.

No problem.  It's all in whether you want the old slightly blurry NTSC look or the more modern clean-and-sharp hi-def look.  A beautiful pic either way, though.

And I'm not..a purist. But I can appreciate that you are, and the effort to make it look like a screencap from so many years ago. :D

Back in the days, the world was a better place. It had dreams of friendship and exploration, with Huankind reaching out into the stars. What we got was far worse than the predicted Eugenics Wars...

Not one big Bang but the end of dreams and the end of reaching out to s.th. And if you look at the middle east.....war without end. Realy far worse then Khan Sing

Very cool.  Hard to believe that's a hair shy of a half century ago now.  Matt Jefferies was exceptionally visionary in creating a ship that was SO vastly different from all that came before it, and still looks beautiful today. :)

*nodsnods* Totally.  My wife and I were just talking about it the other night.  Was watching this video about companies that produce combat-usable light-sabres (bear with me here), and was shaking my head that these things could run upwards of $800.  She said "Star Wars has given the world a lot of 'toys', whereas Star Trek gave us the future."  Was a powerful point - so many things we have today were inspired by Star Trek; cell phones, tablet computers, voice recognition, MRI scanners, medical scanners, one-in-one bio-monitors, ion-drive, space warp-theory, and on and on.  The show didn't just give us a look at the future, it steered us there.
