I first saw Knight Rider when I was about five. Ever since then, I was, is and will be a fan. Today, whole shopping at a mall, I met KITT "in person".
I think you can see how I'm fighting back the happy tears...

Aww, KITT! My greatest love!
I grew up with KR, too. Days back when my mum set me to the TV for the first time - a small 2 year old baby-girl in 1988 - to watch Knight Rider with her, I don't think, that she could have imagined how strong this show would affect my life.
There is no fandom (not even ST) that will be so special to me. KITT is epic. So is Bonnie. I never watched KR because of David Hasselhoff - not even when I was at an age I should have. I just wanted to be like Bonnie - smart and good-looking. And just because of KITT and Bonnie, I was and I am so interessted in IT stuff. And that's why I love my car, driving around - sometimes with "Down Under" playing aloud.
And I will never forget how KITT has suffered in Junk Yard Dog. That episode brought me to tears.
