Actually, if I am reading your comment right, they are not. One is the Enterprise C, an ambassador class, whereas the other is the Enterprise D: galaxy class. I think I might have read somewhere that the galaxy class was based on ambassador class but not sure.
One of the best episodes of TNG in my opinion. The Ambassador Class is such a good 'transistion' ship between the B and D in terms of shape- ok Proberts original 'curvy' design is possibly even cooler, but the Ambassador we saw is a beautiful lady.
I would have liked to have seen more of Enterprise C' (or her sisters) interiors, and perhaps more of the class overall on screen- esp during the Dominion War!
The classic Polaris (Pallada class, NCC-782) met the even more classic Romulan War era Polaris, but back then, the badass little cruiser was still under the command of her first captain, Maria Boccioni. Tima-travelling Kzinti and other shenanigans spiced up the story
She's gorgeous. Especially the secondary hull shape turned out very nice. What references did you use? Though the overlay detail texture.. doesn't ruin it, but IMO there is quite a bit more than one would expect to see in Star Trek. It was more of an experiement, right?
