Description
Introducing the latest piece of the Polaris extended family. This is the USS Wakeful, commanded by Rochus Heimann after he was given captaincy. He took Charlotte Ainsworth as first officer, of course 
Anyway, the ship is a refitted Loknar class ship, which I designed to look more like the FASA thing. The available models all looked too flashy, overdone. The original Loknar was much less cluttered, so here's my interpretation of it.
I seriously need to do a model release spree now, so keep your scanners peeled!

It's interesting to look at a ship like Loknar and ask what it's job was in the fleet. It's got no dedicated engineering section, so I can't imagine it's got the powerful warp core and power reserves that a ship like the Constitution had. On the other hand, it's got those same large nacelles, so I imagine she's still pretty fast. I wonder if her main role was short duration missions, like escort, peacekeeping, and emergency response. A smaller, less expensive ship could probably be deployed in squadrons when extra capability was needed. The Constitution was still the top of the heap, but the Connies were just too few in number to be everywhere.
