I was born in Star Trek's "Golden Year" of 1994. Voyager premiered, DS9 was still goin' strong, Generations had come out in theatres, I guess that's why me and friends are Trekkies whether they admit it or not.
It's too bad broadcasters hate DS9. It's the series I've seen the least of, and is the one I want to see the most. Even when they still did run it, it was always the first show to be dropped or moved to an obscure time slot when something new came along. The last time I saw it was years ago on Spike. It started at 2 AM- far longer than I was used to staying up at the time. The commercials were annoying- literally half of them were advertising porn videos. I don't even remember what episode it was. I can't buy it on DVD, either, because Trek DVD prices are insane.
I don't know how to do that. Besides, the only times I ever hear people talk about torrents is when they're complaining about them in some way, so I'm a bit iffy on it.
It's too bad, really. The only Trek shows currently airing around here that I know of are TNG on BBC America and TOS on a local channel. I, of course, have no way of knowing if it or any other Trek series is on any other local stations elsewhere.
It's still weird to know that people were actually born after 1990

The last good Trek series? Discuss
