Description
It all happened in a few seconds, but for the crew of the Sieglinde, it seemed like hours. Their eyes were fixed upon Jolia Station, the upper hull bursting open, showering debris in all directions, the force of the explosion ripping apart the lower saucer. The last flames died down as the near-sub-zero temperature of space and the lack of oxygen took their toll. All what remained was splinters, charred pieces of metal floating in the emptiness.

The concept of the image, story and the designs are superb, wonderful!
There is something disturbing about this Starbase. It reminded me of how Paramount impoverished the production of Star Trek. At many moments in the movie series, we realize the tremendous reduction of expenses when we notice the excessive reuse of props, models, sets and fx.
The highest point of this ridiculous economy can be seen in The Undiscovered Country: The Enterprise and other scenes involving FX barely appear.
