Hi folks, time for a quick post-watch review of Star Trek Into Darkness. The experience is still fresh, so let me do this while it lasts.
Let us summarize the things I have found good first:
- Yupp, this is indeed a darker Trekverse. We have seen the likes of Admiral Marcus in Canon Trek too, and I'm talking about Admiral Leyton of DS9 now. Here it is expanded into a frightening, un-Trekish but still great concept. Seeing all the modern tech of the Abramsverse often makes me forget that this is a variant of the TOS timeline.
